Bible journaling is a creative way to engage with the Word of God. It involves using art and creativity to reflect on scripture and deepen your understanding of it. Here are some tips to get started:
- Choose a Bible: You can use any Bible for journaling, but you may prefer a journaling Bible that has wider margins or thicker paper to accommodate art and notes. Or even just a plain journal or sketch book so you can expand on your creativity.
- Gather Supplies: You’ll need some basic art supplies like pens, pencils, and markers. You can also use stickers, washi tape, and other embellishments to add interest to your pages. I will be sharing some of my tips and tricks. so you can learn some easy ways to fill your pages with colour and different designs that are much easier to master than you might think.
- Choose a Verse: Start by choosing a verse that speaks to you. You can read through a passage and choose a verse that stands out, or you can use a concordance to find verses on a particular topic.
- Reflect on the Verse: Spend some time reflecting on the verse and what it means to you. You can write down your thoughts or use art to express your feelings.
- Create the Page: Use your art supplies to create a page that reflects your thoughts and feelings about the verse. You can use lettering, doodles, or illustrations to create a beautiful and meaningful page.
- Repeat: Bible journaling is a practice that you can do regularly to deepen your understanding of scripture and grow in your faith.
